Managing The Unknowable: A Step-by-Step Approach To Writing Great Business Plans

Nothing strikes fear into the hearts of people more than the thought of researching and writing a business plan. This must be why 80% of successful businesses don’t have one. But, if you are seeking financial assistance for your enterprise, if you receive Social Security or other public benefits, if you have significant support needs, and if you want to anticipate the future, you better have one!

This session uses a graphical map and series of practical questions to guide the process and illustrate the step-by-step approach to rigorous planning of a business that will make profits and provide career options. This session explores feasibility testing, business models, niche development, marketing & sales, financial concerns, and production planning. Examples are drawn from small businesses across the country.
