Disability Etiquette

Our interactions with people with disabilities reflect a great deal about our attitudes and beliefs about disability. Many times, these interactions are less effective or positive than they could be because of uncertainty on the part of non-disabled individuals about what to say or do when interacting with a person who has a disability. This session will give simple, common-sense recommendations to help improve interactions with people who have disabilities.

This session will be led by Dr. Brenda Lightfoot, educator, coach and consultant. Dr. Lightfoot is on the faculty at the University of North Texas, Department of Rehabilitation, Social Work and Addictions.
